In 2024, VOSS collaborated with street and graffiti artist Yuzhen Ke to create a Year of the Dragon limited-edition bottle, celebrating the symbolic power and cultural resonance of the dragon within Chinese tradition.

Guided by the concept “Where there is a dragon, there is spirit,” the project reimagines the water bottle as a contemporary cultural object. Through this collaboration, VOSS extends its minimalist design language into a narrative surface, integrating Eastern symbolism with a global visual identity.

The work transforms the bottle into a flowing visual field, where Yuzhen Ke’s signature blue-and-white porcelain-inspired graffiti language takes form. A dynamic dragon emerges across the surface—coiling, ascending, and moving with the rhythm of water—embodying vitality, fortune, and continuous motion.

Drawing from traditional porcelain aesthetics, the artist reinterprets the dragon through expressive line work and layered composition, merging classical ornamentation with the immediacy of street art. Waves, floral elements, and fluid forms intertwine, extending the metaphor of water as both medium and meaning—where the dragon gathers energy, moves through currents, and generates life.

Balancing precision with spontaneity, the work reflects Yuzhen Ke’s approach to cultural translation: transforming inherited visual symbols into a contemporary language. The bottle becomes both a functional object and a symbolic vessel, carrying a renewed vision of tradition—fluid, dynamic, and alive within the present.

Yuzhen Ke

Born in Zhanjiang, Guangdong in 2000, Yuzhen Ke initiated his artistic practice at 15 following his immersion in graffiti subculture. As a millennial creator, his oeuvre transcends the limitations of elemental graffiti composition, undertaking a transcultural aesthetic intervention that fuses the countercultural vitality of contemporary street art with the epistemological depth of Eastern cultural heritage.

Yuzhen Ke emerges as China’s inaugural public graffiti artist to crystallize a distinct “blue-and-white porcelain style,” realizing a dialectical synthesis between classical artisanal craftsmanship and the raw, unmediated expressivity of street culture.

His clients and collaborators include Nike, Starbucks, Tencent, FILA, Voss, and LOLA. He has been invited to graffiti festivals in Vienna, Heidelberg, Bayonne, Glasgow, and Central Hong Kong, and holds Russia’s largest individual graffiti mural record (Vladivostok).
